Light in
Architecture
On Thursday, 4 March 2010, the
Light in Architecture seminar was held in the Ljubljana Museum of Architecture with
some 200 participants. The seminar was organised by Intra lighting d.o.o.,
Soltec d.o.o. and Mik d.o.o. in collaboration with the Museum of Architecture.
After the
introductory speech by Prof. Peter Gabrijelčič, MA, the Dean of the University
of Ljubljana Faculty of Architecture, eminent Slovenian and foreign experts
presented examples of comprehensive, innovative and creative lighting solutions
using the latest technologies, materials and concepts to influence the
functional, aesthetic, mood and energy efficiency of a room.
In addition
to Asst. Prof. Tomaž Novljan, PhD (Faculty of Architecture),Prof. Peter Novak (School
of Technologies and Systems, Energotech d.o.o.),Mirko Požar (Soltec
d.o.o.),Franci Pliberšek and Janez Mervič (Mik d.o.o.), other experts lecturing at the seminar included Prof. Lars Bylund (Bergen School of Architecture in Norway, Sweden), a renowned Scandinavian lighting
designer, Louis Clair (Light Cibles,
France), one of the most
important international experts in the field of lighting design, and Dr. Marko Vudrag (Nova
Gorica Institute of Public Health), a medical doctor who also holds a PhD in
environmental science; Intra lighting has been successfully collaborating with them
for many years.
With their
diverse abilities, knowledge and creativity, expert lighting designers Louis
Clair and Prof. Lars Bylund participate in the development and project
solutions of Intra lighting. With their experience and their interesting presentations,
they also contributed greatly to this professional seminar.
